Redefining Financial Education

We've spent five years developing a fundamentally different approach to teaching budget planning—one that actually works in real Filipino households.

Est. 2020 • Research-Driven

Built on Real Data, Not Theory

Most financial education platforms teach Western budgeting methods that don't translate to Filipino family dynamics. We started from scratch, studying 2,847 households across Luzon from 2020 to 2024, documenting what actually works.

  • 1
Behavioral mapping of spending patterns in extended families
  • 2
Cultural adaptation of envelope budgeting for remittance-dependent households
  • 3
Integration of traditional Filipino saving practices with digital tracking
  • 4
Multi-generational budget planning for shared household expenses

Research That Changed Everything

In 2022, our field study in Baguio revealed something surprising: traditional Western budgeting advice was failing because it ignored how Filipino families actually manage money together.

73%

Multi-Income Sources

Households we studied had irregular income streams requiring flexible budgeting frameworks, not rigid monthly categories.

2.8

Average Generations

Per household sharing expenses, making individual budgeting methods completely inadequate for real-world application.

41%

Remittance Reliance

Families depending on overseas worker income needed specialized planning for currency fluctuation and transfer delays.

How We Got Here

Our team came together after seeing too many well-meaning financial advisors recommend solutions that looked good on paper but fell apart in practice. We decided to build something different.

2020
Started documenting why standard budgeting apps weren't working for Filipino families in our community.
2021-2022
Expanded research across Benguet province, interviewing families about their actual (not ideal) money management practices.
2023
Developed our first culturally-adapted modules, testing them with 200+ families before launch.
2024-2025
Refined methodology based on user feedback, now preparing comprehensive courses launching mid-2025.
